Heart of Glass

Some got their hearts of steel and stone
They are happy when alone
Some got theirs of ash and clay
That moulder in the light of day

Still they’re happier than me
For they got hearts that one can see
And I – I got a heart of glass
In which the shining fades so fast

Everyone can see through it
A look into a bottomless pit
Inside:
Reflections and refractions of the walls
And no feelings – none at all

I’m fighting an eternal fight
Searching for external light
That could ignite this heart of mine
And make it shine like real one
To bring it closer to the sun
And be the one I won
